Hi guys! Hope you´re doing well. We have been in Marrakech for almost a week now and such amazing things have happened since then. The first few nights we have decided to stay in the Medina, the old town of Marrakech, pretty much the place where everything happens!
Our stay at Riad Jaaneman in Marrekech has been amazing from the beginning till the end. It is located in the heart of Medina, so one moment you are on the busy Souk, surrounded by people, donkeys and a lot of stuff, next moment you are in an oasis of calm at Riad Jaaneman. This is what we really liked about the location: you never feel bored! The service could not be faulted one bit. Even before our arrival a minivan was arranged, collecting us from the airport. Riad Jaaneman is in a pedestrian zone, so there is a short walk from the main road, but there was someone waiting for us to help with the luggage.
The staff of the Riad is really friendly and made us feel home our entire stay. The breakfast, served on the terrace with an amazing view, was presented really beautiful, and OH it tasted delicious. We had some homemade yoghurt, which was really yummy! We asked for the recipe and it sounded pretty easy to prepare, all hotels should do that! There were also pancakes, fresh fruits and some Moroccan pastries (our fave!). Could eat that for breakfast everyday! So far, we have started every day with a cup of Moroccan mint tea, and we are totally addicted to it. It might become a habbit back home, haha!
Riad Jaaneman offers a great list of hammams, massages and beauty treatments which can be enjoyed during the stay. Is there something better after a long day of exploring the city by foot? Their massages are really relaxing. The riad also has an open lounge area, where you can chill by the pool, best way to end the day ❤ Let´s talk about the style and the interior of this riad. Because –oh my– we loved it a LOT! The rooms are decorated in classic Moroccan style with a touch of modern design, that combination looks really amazing. We totally fell for this Moroccan style and their lovely eye for detail. Everything is so well contained and we would love to bring some their style in our own home. We are really getting inspired over here in Marrakech, haha. You guys should check it out on their website: http://www.riadjaaneman.com and see it for yourselves.
Now it is time to do what we can do best: shop and eat, haha. Really looking forward to walk around the Souks and maybe score a nice Moroccan carpet for our apartment. We hope to find a pink one, so fingers crossed! But first: dinnertime ❤
